Welcome back everybody! We would like to extend a big welcome to our new Junior Infants and to all the new boys and girls throughout the school who joined us in this year. Everybody has settled in well and we hope you will all be very happy here.
Congratulations to Ms O’ Donoghue on the birth of her baby boy in July. We wish her and her family lots of joy.
Keep Kilkenny Beautiful: David Fitzgerald and members of the Tidy towns committee came to visit us with the trophy for the 2014 Overall Tidy Towns Winner. We promise to do our bit in keeping our beautiful city clean.
Sport: We have lots of sport going on in the school. Tag rugby is going very well. The Gaelic Football Schools League is on, and our girls are doing well. First class are enjoying learning skills from Dicksboro GAA members. Swimming and cycling lessons are being enjoyed too. Third to sixth classes are playing basketball. Senior girls are learning the Spikeball skills in preparation for the upcoming Blitz. We would like to thank everybody in the school, and outside the school, for the time and expertise which they give to all these activities.
