There have been lots of events and activities going on this month. We had a great fund raising and fun event on Christmas Jumper Day on December 11th. €800 was raised for Down Syndrome Ireland, Kilkenny Branch. A big thank you to everybody for their generosity. Thank you also for all your donations for the Christmas hampers. It was a great success.
Sporting Activities: we have had cycling lessons for 5th and 6th classes and Gaelic Football for 3rd class. The Health Promoting Committee organised laps on the basketball court with an aim of 100 km before Christmas! A lot of classes made posters in support of the Kilkenny Camogie team. Congratulations to them on their fantastic All Ireland win!
Congratulations to Ms Laura Mc Carthy on the birth of her lovely daughter last November. We send her and her family all our best wishes.
Congratulations also to Ms Mairéad Cummins on her new role as principal of Churchtown Primary School in Kildare. We wish her all the best in the future.
Congratulations to the third class girls who made their First Holy Communion on Saturday December 19th.
We have some amazing art work on display all around the school. There is great variety to be seen in work done by all classes.
