NCBI (National Council for the blind of Ireland) invited us to collect bags of unwanted clothes for charity. In return they donated €5 for every filled black refuse sack to the school.Collection took place on October 5th and 6th. A big thank you to all who donated bags of clothes.
Halloween News
Scary Siúlóid took place on Friday 26th from 11.30-12.30pm. Everybody dressed up in amazing Halloween costumes and brought in €2, which went to school funds. Thank you very much Ms Bolger for organizing this event. After the walk downtown, there was a disco in the yard. It was a brilliant day.








Buzz the Bee and Winchilla led the walk.

We all had a great day. Thanks to everybody for making such a huge effort dressing up, bringing in money and taking part in all the fun. Happy Halloween everybody, enjoy the mid term.
Nano Nagle 300 On Wednesday November 21st we will celebrate the 300th Birthday of Nano Nagle, the founder of the Presentation Order, with a joint Mass with the Presentation Secondary School in St Mary’s Cathedral.
Christmas Card Fundraiser:all the children have designed their own cards, which will be printed and packaged into a pack of 10. Parents can buy these for €8, €3 will go towards school fundraising. Thank you Ms Cummins for co- ordinating this.
Shoe Box Appeal: May Callanan from Team Hope spoke to the children about this very deserving charity. She gave good advice and suggestions as to what should go into the shoe box. We urge you to support this charity. Don’t forget the 4 W’s when you are shopping-Wash, Write, Wear +Wow and the €4 donation.
Sport: 5th and 6th classes took part in the Schools League Gaelic Football Competition. Thank you to all involved in the training. 5th and 6th classes are also enjoying tag Rugby and 5th class are starting soccer training soon. Swimming lessons are going really well too. Everybody is enjoying all these sporting activities.
Health Promoting Schools: we have some new members joining the committee, and they will be letting us know their plans for the future.
Music, Drama, Debating and Dancing: all of these activities are going on throughout the school.
Parents Council News: now that the Junior yard has been resurfaced, thanks to all the fundraising from Who Wants To Be a Thousandaire, our Parents Council are busy organizing playground games. These games will be painted in the yard in the coming weeks. An Anti bullying talk will take place on December 6th.
