March 2014

Parent’s Council AGM took  place on March 24th from 7pm until 8pm. It was great to get some new members.

Junior Infant Music: began on Wed March 19th with Margaret Murran, this is funded by the Parent’s Council.

Seachtain Na Gaeilge: We have had a wonderful time celebrating with Tráth na gCeist and getting ready for the big concert and céilí.  Everybody was making a great effort to speak cúpla focail sa bhaile agus ar scoil. The person in each class who made the best effort to speak Irish was awarded the honour of Gaeilgeóir na Seachtaine and got their photograph taken, and presented to them by Mrs Kelly at Tionóil na Márta. Comhghairdeas daoibh go léir.  On Friday the school was awash with forty shades of green! We had singing, dancing, poetry and music. In the afternoon we had a céilí which was great craic! Míle buiochas do gach duine, go háirithe,  Bean A Tí, Bean Uí Mhoráin, Bean Uí Cheallaigh, Pól, na Ceoltóirí Máirtín agus Paddy, agus do na múinteoirí go léir as ucht an lá iontach a bhí againn go léir.  Tá súil againn go raibh Lá Le Padraig an mhaith ag gach duine.
