June has been an incredibly busy month in the Pres. We have had school tours, 3 Sports Days, Junior Infant Fun Day, Sixth Class Show, Bake sale , official opening of the Junior Yard, to mention a few of our events.
Senior Infants Sports Day
Senior Infants had their novelty sports day on June 25th. They had great fun.
We need to concentrate.Can our team win?All the teams looked great in their team colours. Dad is enjoying it too!The ball and bat race was great.The long relay race is hard, but we can do it.The sack race is great fun, even if we fall!
Thanks to our teachers for the fun sports days and thanks to the Mams and Dads who came to enjoy the fun in the sun.
Junior Infant Fun Day
Junior Infant Fun Day took place on June 26th. The sun shone and everybody had a great time. There was a huge variety of activities to enjoy. All the Junior infants took part in parachute games, Gaelic football skills, novelty races and target practice. There were sand stations and water and bubble stations, They also enjoyed face painting and a Disco! Thank you so much to the Junior Infant teachers and to the other teachers involved. A big thank you also to Sixth Class, who were fantastic helpers in all the activities.

Sixth Class Play: Jo White and The Seven
Sixth class put on a great play for the school and their parents on June 18th and 20th. Everybody enjoyed it, and there was lots of humour and talent on display.

Forest the gardener has orders from Lady P.The dancing trees-can they hide Jo?Can The Seven save her?The Seven perform on The Y Factor after taking advice fro Jo, who is living safely in their flat. The judges are impressed. They win the Y Factor!Prince needs to get away from his parents and get a life, but will it be with Jo?The Seven save Jo and everybody is happy. Gerty Flirty, Maya Playa and Chloe Showy are very interested in The seven ! The Facebook proposal was rejected cas she’s on Instragram, but they will of course remain friends!What a great cast and a great show. Thank you sixth classes Ms Mc Dermot, Ms O’ Meara and Ms Browne.
Junior fun Sports Day
First classes from Rooms 4, 5, 6 and 17 had their fun sports day on Friday 21st. They looked great in their team colours and matching face paints. There was a variety of novelty races and they had great fun.

Sports Day 2019
Our annual Sports Day took place on June 19th. It was a brilliant success. The sun shone and everybody had great fun.

A big thank you to Ms Bolger and Ms Cummins for all their hard work and organisation. Thanks to all the teachers involved, and to the parents who came to cheer their children on, and support our raffle. The winners were Keeley in Room 13 and Leanne in Room 10, congratulations girls. Thank you all from 2nd to 6th for taking part and making the day a huge success. Thanks also to John. Míle buiochas!
Junior Infant Cycling Lessons
Junior Infants got a lovely surprise on Friday June 7th. They got cycling lessons from Sprocket Rocket!

Annual Cake Sale
Our annual cake sale took place on June 7th . It was a brilliant success. A big thank you to Ms Bolger, fifth and sixth class teachers, fifth and sixth class pupils, all the teachers who helped, parents who baked wonderful treats, and thanks to the boys and girls who bought the treats ! Thanks also for supporting the school raffle for Zambia. The raffle money is going to provide school supplies for children in Zambia. Ms Murphy is going there in the Summer to work with children there.

The Official Opening of our Junior Yard with Special Guest : Brian Cody
Brian Cody and Miss Deasy both acknowledged the work done fundraising for the resurfacing of the yard. They thanked all involved for all their hard work and dedication.Dylan cut the ribbon with the help of his dad Tomas and Brian. Deborah’s Garden was then officially opened. Deborah Phelan was a very active member of our Parents’ Council. Sadly she passed away in July 2018. The garden will be a reminder to us all of what a wonderful person she was, sadly missed by her family and friends in The Pres.
