Green School News: This term the Green School’s Committee have been working very hard. They continue to make sure everybody is energy aware, and are turning off lights, projectors, computers etc. Bernadette Maloney, from the council , came to visit, and sat in on a committee meeting. She said we are well on our way to getting our second (energy) Green Flag in May! At the moment the committee are preparing for a special Green Day this month. On Lo Lo day, Wed. 13th we will try to use as little energy as possible, and wear green.
Sport: GAA training, Spikeball, Tag Rugby and swimming are all going well.
Music: We are looking forward to the Peace Proms which takes place in The Hub on March 2nd at 2.00pm. Tickets are available from Essaness Music Kieran St. Third class are enjoying tin whistle lessons with Paul Martin.
Dogs Trust: We were delighted to welcome Deirdre and her lovely dogs into our classrooms. Everybody learned a lot about caring for our four legged friends.
Arts and Crafts: Fiona Flood, who is a potter, will be working with 5th class this term. We look forward to seeing the results.
Speech and Drama: Everybody is enjoying their lessons with Mrs. Mc Dermot.
Quiz: Well done to our Junior and senior teams who came 3rd in the Credit Union Quiz.
Silver Circle: The cards go out this week, we would appreciate your support in this fund raising event.
