First Holy Communion: On Sunday May 13th our 2nd class girls received their First Holy Communion along with the C.B.S. boys. All the hard work, preparation, and many trips to the Cathedral before the ceremony ensured that everything went according to plan! A big thank you to our 5th class choir who sang again with Mr Brennan’s choir during the Mass. A special thank you to Monsignor Kennedy and to all the teachers involved. It was a very special day for all the boys and girls who celebrated this happy event with their families.

Challenge To Change: Third class girls from Room 13 did a project called Energy Use: How low can you go?.  They looked at energy use at home, and at school, and ways of reducing it. There was a poster competition on the same theme in the school. On May 10th members of the commmittee went to the Challenge to Change seminar in the Springhill Hotel. The girls got to talk about their project, take part in workshops, receive their certificate, and meet the boys and girls from the other 27 schools that took part. It was a very busy day, but great fun. Mrs kelly announced the winners of the poster competition at the May assembly. The project and winning posters are on display in the main hall. Congratulations and well done to everybody.
